Silas was born in 1975 in Chipinge and his totem is Sithole. He is married and has 2 children. He started sculpting in 1997 and was influenced by Mukomberanwa. He works mostly with serpentine stones. He is a member of Revival Art Centre in Chitungwiza. He has exhibited 3 times at AGIO. Silas aspires to have money to teach other people and not to let the Shona art movement down.
